KENTUCKY MUNICIPAL UTILITIES ASSOCIATION

ASSOCIATES

Eligible Associate members are any entity whose affairs are related to the electric generation, distribution and transmission systems; water, wastewater and storm water systems; solid waste systems; natural gas distribution systems; and cable, broadband and telecommunications systems.

KMUA members are the managers of city owned utilities, established by statute or ordinance, providing essential services to over one million Kentuckians.

KMUA supports reasonable safety and environmental rules and regulations which protect the public health while allowing utilities to meet the needs of their customers at realistic cost.

KMUA opposes any action, legislative or administrative, which would curb, limit, or remove local control of the operations of municipal utilities from their citizen owners..
